Apex/Forecasting Engine
The Apex/Forecasting Engine (or A/FE) is at the heart of A/Predictor and is responsible for generating demand forecasts.
It uses stochastic modeling techniques to identify underlying stable and predictable patterns in the historical data gathered from data warehouses. These patterns are then used to generate forecasts for:

- for different types of quantities & measures.
- at multiple levels of aggregation and for other criterion that are defined during business requirement analysis.
